Directeur de la bibliothèque
La bibliothèque ADKX est le premier dépôt de documents de recherche primaires et secondaires documentant l'histoire et la culture de la région des Adirondacks (https://www.theadkx.org/research/library/). Ces dernières années, de grands progrès ont été réalisés pour améliorer l'accès aux collections grâce au soutien du CLIR et d'autres sources extérieures. ADKX recherche actuellement un directeur de bibliothèque pour continuer à rendre les fonds de recherche de l'institution accessibles à un public aussi large que possible, sur place et en ligne. Le titulaire du poste est également responsable de la préservation des collections et de l'acquisition de matériel supplémentaire afin que la collection dans son ensemble continue de refléter la richesse et la complexité de l'histoire des Adirondacks. Les expositions et les programmes publics d'ADKX sont alimentés par les connaissances et les efforts de recherche du directeur de la bibliothèque. Le directeur de la bibliothèque relève du directeur général, est membre de l'équipe de direction du musée et siège au comité des collections du conseil d'administration ainsi qu'à d'autres comités du conseil selon les besoins. Le salaire est compétitif et les avantages sociaux sont excellents.

Assistant Café

Are you passionate about food, nature and history? Do you put your heart and soul on the plate? If so, the Adirondack Experience has a place for you as the Chef of the Lake View Cafe.  Can you prepare food that meets high quality standards, and serve it to the Adirondack Experience’s visitors in a friendly and courteous manner?  A Cafe Assistant is a welcoming host that represents the values and goals of the museum at all times. The position requires continual public contact. Weekend work is required.

Représentant des membres

Membership Representative will provide friendly, personal service to visitors by welcoming them to the museum and answering questions as needed, process membership dues and sell new memberships to visitors using the CounterPoint point-of-sale system, create a positive experience for visitors by maintaining a neat and welcoming environment in the Visitor’s Center, assist with Membership and Institutional Advancement departmental projects, such as mailings, and staff special events as needed.

Assistant d'interprétation

The museum is looking for outgoing and enthusiastic individuals with education and experience related to Museum Studies, Education, History, Interpretation, Environmental Education, Outdoor Recreation, Wilderness Studies, or similar fields. The museum will provide training for regional, cultural and natural history, Certified Interpretive Guide (4 year certification from the National Association for Interpretation), and as needed, Wilderness First Aid (2 year certification from Red Cross).  Interpretation staff will lead informal interpretation programs, implement a variety of family and public programs and may work in our exciting, Life in the Adirondacks exhibit, on Minnow Pond Trail or in our indoor and outdoor activity areas and exhibitions.

Assistant chargé des installations

The Adirondack Experience is looking for a motivated individual to help maintain the cleanliness of our exquisite campus and exhibitions. Under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor, this position is responsible for the cleaning of the Adirondack Experience exhibits, buildings and campus. This includes but not limited to all of the museum’s exhibits, CSSC, restroom areas, office buildings, retail operations, café operations, residences, grounds and parking lots.
