Join mushroom enthusiast Susan Hopkins to discover what fabulous fungi are growing in our woods. The forested trail to Minnow Pond is home to dozens of mushrooms that offer a rich introduction and exploration of the “wood wide web.” Which mushrooms may be fruiting changes constantly, and Susan will share her knowledge of what’s “on view.” Discover which mushrooms to forage for a delicious dinner or delightful dye and which to avoid for you and your pets’ well-being.

Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water, bug spray, and appropriate outerwear. Walk is rain or shine but will be canceled in case of thunderstorms or severe weather.

Free, does not include admission to museum exhibits. Pre-registration required.
