The Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake, is pleased to welcome artists Ben Allanoff, Andrea Mancuso, Jinghong Chen, and Joy Muller\u2011McCoola as participants in its highly competitive 2026 Artist\u2011in\u2011Residency program, selected from 185 applicants worldwide. Living and working on campus throughout the summer months, the artists will create new work in public view, engage visitors in the Art Lab makerspace, and draw inspiration from the museum\u2019s collections and surrounding Adirondack landscape\u2014offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience art\u2011making firsthand.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A Successful Season of Creativity: 2025 ADKX Artist-in-Residence Program<\/h2>
<\/div><\/div><\/div>
\n

The ADKX is proud to celebrate the success of its inaugural Artist-in-Residence program. From June through September, four talented artists lived and worked on-site, drawing inspiration from the museum\u2019s natural surroundings, collections, and community.<\/p>\n

During their residencies, each artist developed a unique body of work while engaging with visitors in public spaces and leading hands-on activities in the Art Lab makerspace. The program fostered meaningful connections between artists and the public, blending personal creativity with shared exploration of Adirondack stories and landscapes.<\/p>\n

Selected through a highly competitive process, the artists were chosen from 114 applicants representing 43 countries across six continents. Their diverse approaches and perspectives enriched the museum experience and contributed to a vibrant season.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re thrilled to announce that the works created during the residencies have been added to the ADKX permanent collection.
