El 8 de abril, un eclipse de Sol ser\u00e1 visible desde las Adirondacks. Acompa\u00f1e al astr\u00f3nomo Dr. Michael West en su exploraci\u00f3n de los misterios de los eclipses y de c\u00f3mo estos impresionantes acontecimientos han marcado la historia de la humanidad, la cultura y nuestra comprensi\u00f3n del universo. Michael West se incorpor\u00f3 al equipo cient\u00edfico del Observatorio Lowell en 2015. Antes de unirse a Lowell, fue Director del Observatorio Maria Mitchell, Jefe de Ciencia del Observatorio Europeo Austral, Jefe de Operaciones Cient\u00edficas en Gemini Sur y Profesor de Astronom\u00eda en la Universidad de Haw\u00e1i. Ha sido investigador principal de seis proyectos del telescopio espacial Hubble hasta la fecha, y coinvestigador en muchos otros.<\/p>\n

El Dr. West tambi\u00e9n participa activamente en la educaci\u00f3n astron\u00f3mica y la divulgaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica. Es becario Fulbright de EE.UU. en 2021-2023 y pasar\u00e1 varios meses en Finlandia para ense\u00f1ar e investigar la comunicaci\u00f3n de la ciencia con el p\u00fablico. Ha formado parte de la Comisi\u00f3n de Comunicaci\u00f3n de la Astronom\u00eda con el P\u00fablico de la Uni\u00f3n Astron\u00f3mica Internacional. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido desarrollador jefe de contenidos astron\u00f3micos para el \u2018Imiloa Astronomy Center de Hawaii.<\/p>\n

Escritor galardonado, sus ensayos han aparecido en el\u00a0Wall Street Journal<\/em>,\u00a0Washington Post<\/em>,\u00a0USA Today<\/em>,\u00a0Astronom\u00eda<\/em>\u00a0y otras publicaciones.
