Lana y agua es un proyecto de colaboraci\u00f3n que combina el arte de la fibra con informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica para crear representaciones visuales de las condiciones cambiantes de la calidad del agua en los Adirondacks y la cuenca del lago Champlain. Creado originalmente en asociaci\u00f3n con el 50 aniversario de la Ley de Agua Limpia en 2022, el objetivo de este proyecto y la exposici\u00f3n asociada es mostrar el legado de la protecci\u00f3n del agua limpia en los Adirondacks y la cuenca del lago Champlain. El punto, el ganchillo, el tejido y otras artes de la fibra se utilizan para ilustrar conceptos y tendencias relacionados con nuestras v\u00edas fluviales, y para servir de inspiraci\u00f3n para su protecci\u00f3n. Sobre el ponente:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michale Glennon es ecologista, artista de la fibra y director de Wool and Water, un proyecto del Adirondack Watershed Institute (AWI) del Paul Smith's College. Como investigadora principal del AWI, Michale estudia las amenazas a la integridad ecol\u00f3gica y la salud de las cuencas hidrogr\u00e1ficas. Ayuda a liderar el programa de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica del AWI, apoya las oportunidades de investigaci\u00f3n de alta calidad para los estudiantes y defiende la ciencia en apoyo de la gesti\u00f3n y la administraci\u00f3n de los recursos naturales del Parque Adirondack. Michale tambi\u00e9n es miembro del consejo del Adirondack Council y de Traditional Arts in Upstate New York.
