July 11: Northville-Placid Trail: Wakely Pond \u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

To celebrate the centennial of the Northville-Placid Trail, ADKX is collaborating with naturalist and Adirondack Guide, Ed Kanze, to lead a series of nature walks along the central portions of this historic trail. On this easy ramble, we will talk about the history of the trail, stroll on dirt roads, look for flora and fauna, and visit beautiful Wakely Pond.<\/p>\n

Ed Kanze es naturalista, autor y gu\u00eda de Adirondack, con m\u00e1s de cuarenta a\u00f1os de experiencia guiando paseos por lugares salvajes. Ex guardabosques de parques nacionales, trabaj\u00f3 en el Parque Nacional de Acadia y en la Costa Nacional de las Islas del Golfo, fue conservador del Museo de la Naturaleza Trailside en Cross River (Nueva York), ense\u00f1\u00f3 ecolog\u00eda de campo para la Sociedad Nacional Audubon y fue naturalista jefe en la Reserva del Lago Teatown en Ossining (Nueva York).
