Desde que empez\u00f3 a hacer senderismo por las monta\u00f1as de los Adirondacks, John Sasso se sinti\u00f3 intrigado por los artefactos con los que tropezaba, como pernos de hierro de antiguos levantamientos topogr\u00e1ficos, restos de antiguos campamentos de le\u00f1adores, misteriosos caminos forestales y cimientos de piedra. John Sasso<\/strong> John Sasso es un \u00e1vido excursionista, bushwhacker e historiador independiente de las Adirondack de Colonie, Nueva York. Gran parte de su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en la historia ligada a los picos de las Adirondack y otras caracter\u00edsticas naturales, as\u00ed como a los primeros levantamientos topogr\u00e1ficos de la regi\u00f3n. Aparte de su trabajo diario y sus investigaciones hist\u00f3ricas, John ayuda a construir y mantener senderos y caba\u00f1as con Adirondack Forty-Sixers y Lean-To Rescue. Tambi\u00e9n colabora en el mantenimiento de torres contra incendios con la secci\u00f3n del Estado de Nueva York de la Forest Fire Lookout Association, y es cuidador de la torre contra incendios de Mount Adams.
