A retired U.S. Army veteran, his research explores environmental histories through landscape observations, with numerous publications in glacial landforms, hydrology, and dendrochronology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(11, 118, 160)\">His love for geology and the outdoors was rekindled by his wife, Krystyna, whose passion for nature has taken them across thousands of miles of trails worldwide. Their shared enthusiasm fuels outreach efforts in the Adirondacks and sparks creative ways to present Earth science to the public and his students. Dr. Stewart has led field courses across Alaska, Iceland, East Africa, and beyond, inspiring students through hands-on exploration.
