This easy to moderate 3\/4 mile trail is located right on ADKX property. Meander down to the ADKX boathouse, located on Minnow Pond, while taking in the scenery and learning more about the fungi growing in the Adirondacks.<\/p>\n

Susan Hopkins has learned to identify fungi through her 40-year membership in the New Jersey Mycological Association. She focuses on identification with a special interest in all of the tooth fungi (fungi with spines under their cap). Susan is also a \u201cdyer,\u201d having learned the use of various species of wild fungi to dye wool. She lives in the Adirondack Park and continues to study the local fungi and offer lectures, walks, and demonstrations on fungi and mushroom dyeing.<\/p><\/blockquote>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
