Meander down to the ADKX boathouse, located on Minnow Pond, while taking in the scenery and learning more about the geology of the Adirondacks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Alexander Stewart<\/strong>\u00a0is an Associate Professor of Geology at St. Lawrence University, specializing in glacial geology and tree-ring science. A retired U.S. Army veteran, his research explores environmental histories through landscapes and archaeological sites, with numerous publications in glacial landforms, hydrology, and dendrochronology.<\/p>\n<p>He has led field courses across Alaska, Iceland, East Africa, and more, inspiring students through hands-on exploration. His passion for biodiversity has also led to the co-discovery of six new scorpion species. As national president of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, he helps shape the future of Earth sciences.
