The ADKX is celebrating the 100^th anniversary of the Northville-Placid Trail with our newest temporary exhibition, Trail Makers: 100 Years of the Northville-Placid Trail and through a members-only hike.

Join ADKX Conservator & Collections Manager, Doreen Alessi-Holmes (curator of the new exhibition), and Membership Coordinator Matthew Waligora (NYS Licensed Guide) on a 2 mile hike of the NPT Section 7. Starting at the Route 28N trailhead, located about 1.5 miles east of Long Lake town center, we will explore out to Sandy Creek and back. Glean some interesting facts about the history of the trail and learn a bit about the behind-the-scenes work entailed in creating the exhibition from Doreen. Afterwards, celebrate the rewarding hike with an ice cream cone in Long Lake.
