DESCRIPTION:Spend the afternoon with the story of Adirondack poet Jeanne Robert Foster in a 45-minute one-woman show illuminating her life and work.\nA model for Charles Dana Gibson’s celebrated “Gibson Girls\,” Foster’s story reaches far beyond the photographs that defined a generation’s ideal of beauty–from humble beginnings in the Adirondacks to the literary salons of Paris and beyond. \nThis performance is included with museum admission and will take place at the Marion River Carry Pavilion. Seating for 40 guests will be available on a first‑come\, first‑served basis\, with standing room available as well. Punch will be served. Bring your finest parasol and enjoy an afternoon discovering the story of this remarkable Adirondack woman. \n  \n\n \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of storytelling though film with Akwesasne Mohawk filmmaker Katsitsionni Fox.\nThis program will feature two short films\, Kanenon:we (ga-nuh-ooh-weh) and Tentsitewahkwe (duh-jee-de-wuh-gwe) which explore Indigenous knowledge systems through themes of food ways\, land\, and cultural continuity. \nFollowing the screenings\, Katsitsionni (gah-jeet-juni) will participate in a conversation moderated by David Escobar\, Report for America Corps Member for North Country Public Radio and Adirondack Explorer. DESCRIPTION:Gem Radio Theatre is pleased to present stories of famous and infamous characters that harken from the Adirondacks.\nActors in period costume will share their stories in first-person while visitors enjoy an afternoon tea\, complete with vintage teacups and a light lunch.  An interesting and entertaining afternoon awaits at the ADKX.   \nTickets & Registration\nThe performance is included with museum admission.
