SUMMARY:Black Ash Berry Basket Making with Angello Johnson
DESCRIPTION:Join Akwesasne Mohawk artist Angello Johnson for an introductory basket making class for new and experienced basket makers.\nAll attendees will be provided a hands-on demonstration for preparing black ash materials and a cultural background on basket making. All participants will be provided with splints\, forms\, and handles to complete a black ash berry basket by the end of the class. \n\n→All materials and tools will be provided.\n→Participants are welcome to bring food\, drinks\, and snacks for the day.\n→Museum admission is included in the workshop fee. (Please note that basket completion takes about 4 hours.)\n→Comfortable shoes are recommended.\n\nSpots are limited\, and this workshop often sells out. Early registration is recommended. \n
