FREE admission for ADK Residents!

Celebrate fall at the Adirondack Experience with traditional pastimes like apple pressing, wagon rides, autumnal crafts, fiber arts. Demonstrations and music all day!

ACTIVITIES

Wagon Rides with A Time to Remember Carriage & Sleigh Rides, Main Campus, 10:00am – 4:00pm
Visitors of all ages can climb aboard a rustic wagon and enjoy a leisurely ride around the museum’s grounds.

Pumpkin Painting, Main Campus, 10:00am – 4:00pm or while supplies last
Paint a small pumpkin to take home.

Leaf Pile, Main Campus, 10:00am – 5:00pm
Jump into joy with this favorite fall past-time!

Cider Pressing and Cider Samples, Main Campus, 10:00am – 4:00pm or while supplies last
Turn the crank on a hand-press and discover how to make delicious cider from juicy apples.
Cider samples while supplies last.

Fall Themed Craft, Main Campus, 10:00am – 4:00pm
Create your own piece of fall-themed art.

Fall Themed Games, Main Campus, 10:00am – 4:00pm
Try out pumpkin bowling or juggling foam apples.

DEMONSTRATIONS

Mohawk Beadwork – Anna Thompson, Mohawk artist, will demonstrate making traditional beadwork.
Life in the Adirondacks: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Iroquois Pinch Pottery – Natasha Smoke Santiago, Mohawk artist, will demonstrate making traditional Iroquois pots.
Outside of Life in the Adirondacks: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Buff Mittens – Jane Mackintosh will demonstrate and teach the making of buff mittens, traditional mittens worn by
Adirondack loggers. ADKX Annex: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Quilting – Northern Needles, ADKX Annex: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Wool Arts – Serendipity Spinners, ADKX Annex: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Woodburning – Vickie Virgil, Marion River Carry Pavilion: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Clean out your closets and cupboards for a good cause! We’re accepting donations of cereal, tuna, soup, toilet paper, winter coats, snow pants, winter boots, and blankets to support the good works of the Warren – Hamilton Community Action, Indian Lake, NY. Bring donations to:
