Built in 1876, the Log Hotel is original to the Adirondack Experience\u2019s site and is on the National Register of Historic Places.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>

Closed in 2022 for restoration<\/strong><\/p>\n

A recent architectural assessment revealed signs of deterioration to the almost 150-year-old structure. The necessary conservation work will help restore the building and ensure that it will continue to tell the story of Adirondack history for years to come. This project has been supported by a grant from the Preservation League of NYS\u2019s Northeast Heritage Economy Program, supported by the Northern Border Regional Commission. Additional funding was also provided by the Gerry Charitable Trust. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Once part of Merwin\u2019s Blue Mountain House, a summer resort, the hotel\u2019s lobby and a guest room help visitors imagine the early days of tourism in the Adirondacks.<\/p>\n

The Log Hotel includes the exhibit Hotels, Camps and Clubs<\/em>\u202f\u2014 featuring artifacts related to travel, lodging, Adirondack children\u2019s summer camps, and private camps and clubs.<\/p>\n
