Edna West Teall \u00e9tait un \u00e9crivain et une artiste qui a grandi \u00e0 Lewis, New York, pr\u00e8s du lac Champlain. Elle a peint pour se souvenir de son enfance dans les Adirondacks. Ses \u0153uvres d\u00e9peignent la vie quotidienne dans les fermes dans les ann\u00e9es 1880 et 1890. Elle a \u00e9crit le livre\u00a0Adirondack Tales : Une jeune fille grandit dans les Adirondacks dans les ann\u00e9es 1880.<\/em>\u00a0publi\u00e9 par Adirondack Life. Il est rempli d'histoires de la vie quotidienne du point de vue d'une femme.<\/p>\n

Cet \u00e9pisode se concentre sur la vie et l'\u0153uvre de Tealls, avec une attention particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 son histoire de la fabrication du sucre d'\u00e9rable. L'entaillage des arbres et la fabrication de sirop et de sucre est une tradition des Adirondacks qui est encore populaire aujourd'hui.
