Verplanck Colvin (1847-1920) a \u00e9t\u00e9 une force influente dans la cr\u00e9ation du parc des Adirondacks. Il a pass\u00e9 28 ans en tant que surintendant de l'Adirondack Survey. Ses calculs utilisant la triangulation ont permis de cr\u00e9er des cartes qui sont encore aujourd'hui consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme incroyablement pr\u00e9cises.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
