Le Ferd's Bog Trail commence le long de la route Uncas, entre les villages de Raquette Lake et d'Eagle Bay. Le sentier est court (0,7 mile aller simple) mais tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant. Ferd's est surtout connu pour ses oiseaux bor\u00e9aux, notamment le geai du Canada et la m\u00e9sange bor\u00e9ale, et ses fleurs sauvages. Une randonn\u00e9e facile et sans h\u00e2te nous permettra de savourer la faune et la flore.<\/p>\n

Ed Kanze est naturaliste, auteur et guide des Adirondacks. Il a plus de quarante ans d'exp\u00e9rience dans l'organisation de promenades dans des lieux sauvages. Ancien National Park Ranger, il a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 Acadia National Park et Gulf Islands National Seashore, a \u00e9t\u00e9 conservateur du Trailside Nature Museum \u00e0 Cross River, New York, a enseign\u00e9 l'\u00e9cologie sur le terrain pour la National Audubon Society et a \u00e9t\u00e9 naturaliste principal \u00e0 la Teatown Lake Reservation \u00e0 Ossining, New York. Ed a des racines profondes dans les Adirondacks. Ses arri\u00e8re-arri\u00e8re-arri\u00e8re-arri\u00e8re-grands-parents Daniel et Hannah Brownell ont creus\u00e9 une ferme dans les bois le long de la rivi\u00e8re Sacandaga, vers 1795.<\/p>\n
