The trail is a 1.1 walk to the summit and passes through beautiful woods, including a stand of old-growth sugar maples. The 360 degree view from the open, rocky summit is stunning. We will scan the skies for migrating hawks, falcons, eagles, monarch butterflies, and dragonflies. The western lake district of the Adirondacks spreads grandly in one direction, while to the East, weather permitting, we&#8217;ll gaze toward the High Peaks. Elevation gain is a little more than 523 feet.
