Susan Hopkins a appris \u00e0 identifier les champignons gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses 40 ans d'adh\u00e9sion \u00e0 l'Association mycologique du New Jersey. Elle se concentre sur l'identification, avec un int\u00e9r\u00eat particulier pour tous les champignons \u00e0 dents (champignons avec des \u00e9pines sous leur chapeau). Susan est \u00e9galement \u201cteinturi\u00e8re\u201d, ayant appris \u00e0 utiliser diverses esp\u00e8ces de champignons sauvages pour teindre la laine. Elle vit dans le parc des Adirondacks et continue d'\u00e9tudier les champignons locaux.
