Nous marcherons quelques kilom\u00e8tres sur de beaux sentiers et parmi de beaux arbres anciens, notamment des pruches de l'Est, des \u00e9pic\u00e9as rouges, des c\u00e8dres blancs du Nord, des \u00e9rables \u00e0 sucre et des bouleaux jaunes. La beaut\u00e9 des bois nous donnera l'occasion de travailler sur l'identification des arbres et de rechercher les oiseaux et les amphibiens de la for\u00eat. Le lac Rich et les ruisseaux associ\u00e9s offriront encore plus de beaut\u00e9 et d'int\u00e9r\u00eat. Le Newcomb Adirondack Interpretive Center est g\u00e9r\u00e9 par SUNY-ESF et propose toute l'ann\u00e9e d'excellents programmes.<\/p>\n

Ed Kanze est naturaliste, auteur et guide des Adirondacks. Il a plus de quarante ans d'exp\u00e9rience dans l'organisation de promenades dans des lieux sauvages. Ancien National Park Ranger, il a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 Acadia National Park et Gulf Islands National Seashore, a \u00e9t\u00e9 conservateur du Trailside Nature Museum \u00e0 Cross River, New York, a enseign\u00e9 l'\u00e9cologie sur le terrain pour la National Audubon Society et a \u00e9t\u00e9 naturaliste principal \u00e0 la Teatown Lake Reservation \u00e0 Ossining, New York. Ed a des racines profondes dans les Adirondacks.
