Panelists from\u00a0Camp<\/span>\u00a0Dudley (est. 1885), Adirondack Woodcraft\u00a0Camp<\/span>s (est. 1925),\u00a0Camp<\/span>\u00a0Treetops (est. 1922), and Eagle Island\u00a0Camp<\/span> (est. 1938) will share how these storied institutions shaped youth recreation and regional culture for well over a century. We\u2019ll explore how these institutions navigated shifting social eras and changing trends in outdoor recreation\u2014and how their core traditions still endure today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n8:00 – 9:00 PM: Post-Panel: S’mores around the camp<\/span>fire with live music by Andy Walkow (acoustic guitar) and Tom Techman (vocals), playing a mix of hits from the 1950s to today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hannah conna\u00eet et aime le Camp Treetops et y a travaill\u00e9 plus d'une douzaine d'\u00e9t\u00e9s depuis sa premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e en tant que conseill\u00e8re en 2004. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 conseill\u00e8re en tente, directrice du programme d'\u00e9quitation, directrice du programme du camp junior et directrice du programme du week-end des amis. Hannah a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 stagiaire \u00e0 la ferme et au jardin et parent d'\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 la North Country School.<\/p>\n

Outre le temps pass\u00e9 \u00e0 Treetops, Hannah a travaill\u00e9 dans les syst\u00e8mes scolaires publics de Portland (ME) et de Brooklyn (NY). Miriam Kotsonis, <\/strong>Camp de l'\u00eele de l'Aigle<\/em><\/p>\n

Miriam Kotsonis a pass\u00e9 un mois \u00e0 Eagle Island Camp (EIC) en 1968. M\u00eame si beaucoup de choses ont mal tourn\u00e9 au d\u00e9but, elle a ador\u00e9 le camp : les chansons, les randonn\u00e9es, les d\u00e9fis dans les bois, la voile et les sports nautiques, et surtout la gentillesse associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la t\u00e9nacit\u00e9. Toutes ces exp\u00e9riences lui ont permis de cultiver la r\u00e9silience et la d\u00e9brouillardise, ce qui l'aide chaque jour depuis lors. En 2012, elle a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de participer \u00e0 une randonn\u00e9e collective pour \u201cSauver Eagle Island\u201d et a pris connaissance de la situation critique du camp. Sa joie de voir l'achat r\u00e9ussi et le travail subs\u00e9quent pour rouvrir et renouveler perp\u00e9tuellement le camp l'a amen\u00e9e \u00e0 se porter volontaire pour aider \u00e0 \u00e9crire l'histoire d'EIC. C'est sa fa\u00e7on de remercier Eagle Island pour toute la force et toute la musique qu'il lui a donn\u00e9es. En 2025, elle est retourn\u00e9e \u00e0 Eagle Island Camp pour la premi\u00e8re fois depuis 1968.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n

Dave Langston, <\/strong>Camp Dudley<\/em><\/p>\n

Dave est venu \u00e0 Dudley pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1967 et a connu et travaill\u00e9 avec les six directeurs du camp depuis lors. Plus r\u00e9cemment, il a fait partie de l'\u00e9quipe de l'\u00e9t\u00e9 2012 de Dudley en tant que chef du programme spirituel et responsable du programme de plein air. Le 16 novembre 2012, le directeur de Dudley, Matt Storey, a annonc\u00e9 la bonne nouvelle que Dave deviendrait le directeur du d\u00e9veloppement de Dudley. Dave nous arrive tout r\u00e9cemment du Susquehanna Township School District o\u00f9 il a \u00e9t\u00e9 professeur de sciences et conseiller \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole primaire. Auparavant, il \u00e9tait directeur ex\u00e9cutif de la section r\u00e9gionale de la Croix-Rouge am\u00e9ricaine \u00e0 Harrisburg, en Pennsylvanie, o\u00f9 il g\u00e9rait toutes les collectes de fonds et les services de la Croix-Rouge pour sa r\u00e9gion. Christina et Doug Bartlett, <\/strong>Camp d'artisanat en bois des Adirondacks<\/em><\/p>\n

Doug et Christina Bartlett sont les directeurs de l'Adirondack Woodcraft Camps \u00e0 Old Forge, dans l'\u00c9tat de New York, un camp d'\u00e9t\u00e9 historique fond\u00e9 en 1925. \u00c0 eux deux, ils cumulent plusieurs d\u00e9cennies d'exp\u00e9rience dans la direction de camps et l'accompagnement des jeunes, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des parcours professionnels vari\u00e9s comprenant notamment la gestion des loisirs, l'enseignement, l'entra\u00eenement sportif et l'orientation scolaire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Doug et Christina se sont rencontr\u00e9s pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans le cadre d'un programme de formation continue organis\u00e9 par l'American Camp Association, et se sont li\u00e9s d'amiti\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur passion commune pour l'\u00e9panouissement des jeunes et les activit\u00e9s de plein air.
