Northville DEC staff manage 100 miles of the Northville-Placid Trail from the southern terminus to Long Lake. DEC Lands & Forests staff are well versed in the management and maintenance of the NPT. Working with partner organizations, our staff are out on the ground identifying and implementing improvement projects on the NPT to ensure it remains the premier long trail in NYS.

About the Speakers:

Jaime Parslow:

Growing up in the Southern Adirondacks, Jaime has spent her life recreating and exploring the region. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career in Natural Resources, where she is currently employed as a Natural Resources Planner for the NYS DEC with a focus on Adirondack Forest Preserve Management and Planning.

Jonathan DeSantis:

Jon grew up hiking and camping in the Southern Adirondacks before pursuing a career in forestry. For the past 11 years he has contributed to the land management of the State lands in Fulton and Hamilton counties.
