Northville-Placid Trail with Eliza Phillips
Join Eliza for a family-friendly hike along a section of the Northville-Placid Trail in Long Lake. Forests are like a city made up of different neighborhoods. The canopy, understory, leaf litter and more with trees at the heart. In each neighborhood different plants and animals thrive. Join us for a walk where we explore these neighborhoods and how they support each other.
Eliza Phillips has worked as an environmental educator and naturalist since 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education and Interpretation from SUNY ESF and has worked in the Adirondacks, Central NY, and East TN. Although she enjoys working with people of all ages, kids are her favorite, they keep her on her toes. In her free time she loves to paddle, paint, and hug trees. She can often be found on the trail looking for small things like salamanders and mushrooms.
