Angello Johnson
I am a sixth-generation basketmaker from Akwesasne, New York. I make really thick, sturdy baskets for laundry hampers and holding babies and vegetables from the garden. The utilitarian baskets, the style I like to produce, are really meant for day-to-day use. We get so many gifts from the trees, and baskets are just one of the many gifts.
