1814 Commemoration, Inc. is a volunteer-driven nonprofit devoted to preserving and celebrating the legacy of the Battle of Plattsburgh and its vital role in ending the War of 1812. Formed in 2020 when local volunteers stepped forward to sustain the annual event, the organization produces a vibrant, multi-day commemoration featuring reenactments, educational programs, music, parades, and family activities. Through community support, grants, and sponsorships, 1814 Commemoration, Inc. works to keep this pivotal chapter of Champlain Valley history alive for future generations.
