ADKX ArtworX Weekends
Discover the Adirondacks through the eyes of regional artists and those drawn from outside the Blue Line to this stunning landscape. Every weekend in July and August, artists join us on campus to share their beautiful works inspired by the splendor of this beloved place. Many participating artists will also be offering workshops.
Works may be available for purchase.
Kristy Guenther
JULY 3-5
Kristy Guenther has been making art her whole life. In recent years, she has become an avid hiker, and the beauty that she finds on her hikes has become the main inspiration for her work. She creates art in her studio in Rochester, NY.
Carol Marie Vossler
JULY 10-12
Carol Marie Vossler works across disciplines, crafting both two- and three-dimensional pieces from handmade paper, ceramics, and found materials. Her work incorporates imagery and objects to bring attention to environmental concerns and inspire proactive responses. Her experience as a forester taught her to observe both the large-scale and subtle details of forests and to act in ways that support their well-being. This ongoing relationship between the living forest and her artistic creativity has shaped her practice for many years. Carol’s art offers a unique perspective, encouraging curiosity and thoughtful questions.
Carol will be offering a Triangle Lantern Workshop at ADKX on July 12.

Jason Tennant
AUGUST 21-23
Jason Tennant’s sculptures are carved and painted from solid or joined wood. The theme of his work is part of a narrative that reflects the natural world and the human relationship to it. His role of being a woodlot steward immerses him into the natural environment that teaches and inspires. Wood species such as foraged remnants of American chestnut as well as ash, oak, beech and Eastern hemlock have stories woven into his work. Jason has been sculpting and painting for over forty years. He is a full-time artist and Adjunct Associate Professor at Monroe Community College.
Jillian Post and Julien Feller
AUGUST 28-30
Jillian Post is the full-time wood carver at L. Post Rustics. She has a degree in Environmental Science/Botany with a minor in art. Her scientific knowledge of plants and nature combined with her natural talent and love for woodcarving allows her to produce accurate renderings of natural elements with a twist of romantic liveliness. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Adirondack Experience and currently on view in the exhibition Natural Beauty: The Art of Rustic Furniture.
Julien Feller is a Belgian sculptor based in the US, specializing in trompe-l’œil lace sculptures. His passion for woodcarving began at age 11 and became a professional pursuit in 2016. Inspired by lace-making traditions and influenced by historical figures like Grinling Gibbons and 14th-century micro-sculptors, he strives to push the boundaries of realism and detail in his work. He designs original ornamental motifs, drawing from traditional lace heritage. Sustainability is central to his practice—he uses only fallen boxwood trees and manages the drying process himself.
