Visual Literacy

Visual literacy is the ability to read, write, and create visual images. Decoding messages; both overt and hidden, in visual media is a powerful 21^st century skill.

Students are inundated with photos and video in social media in the forms of altered images, synced videos, and influencer marketing, just to name a few. Help them build the skills of close-looking and critical analysis with our curated media. Students will examine historical media for evidence to support their answers to essential questions.
