Northville-Placid Trail Exhibition

2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the completion of the Northville-Placid Trail (NPT), a 138-mile public trail that passes near many Adirondack communities. The Adirondack Experience commemorates this milestone with a 600-square-foot exhibition named Trail Makers: 100 Years of the Northville-Placid Trail. The exhibition focuses on four interconnected themes: the history of the trail; the team who built it; the people along the trail’s path (French Louis, Noah John Rondeau, Anne LaBastille, among others); and the trail and its hikers today. It pulls from ADKX’s rich collections and connects directly to objects on view in the nearby permanent exhibition Woods & Waters. Visitors will be able to explore this exhibition during the 2024 and 2025 open seasons.

The Wesson Group is supporting this exhibition with a challenge grant of $10,000. Help us match this grant with a donation of $500 or more by May 1, 2024 to be recognized in this exhibition.
